    Default Confused About Emancipation

My question involves emancipation laws for the State of: Texas

17 years of age, or at least 16 years of age and living separate and apart from the minor's parents, managing conservator, or guardian

Do you have to be living on your own? Or my question really is what does this law really mean in latents terms.

Yes, you have to be living on your own, paying all of the bills on your own with no help from anyone, and even then your odds are close to zero, because you have to prove to a judge that you are better off without parental supervision.
