I called my store manager again today. I asked him if he even knows what happened behind the story. He said kinda...............Not the answer I was looking for. I sent a letter with my side of the story and my back ground to the board; CEO, president and etc.

Good God. You'd think you were the CEO of some fortune 500 company. This is a RETAIL position for goodness sake. The CEO, president, etc. don't care about you. You're dispensable. Let it go and stop being a pest for what is probably not much better than a minimum wage, low skilled job.

    Court,

Of course they don't care! That is my point. I am not a criminal and refuse to be treated as one. I did not steal the soda...............I attempted to pay and did pay while trying to do what I was told, please the customers. I don't care if I am fired- I have a better job coming. It is the record of charges I don't want.

Actually, a letter addressed to Corporate Headquarters, Human Resources Manager can work wonders Been there, done it.

Though I do still recommend you get out and start applying for other jobs.

Again, not to sound negative...but should you be reinstated, those people giving you grief now are going to be putting you under the proverbial magnifying glass. Every move you make will be watched. Do you really think you would be comfortable working in that environment?

Should I bring a lawsuit against this place?
On what grounds do you think you can bring suit?

How old are you, out of curiosity?

Age has nothing to do with this issue. What ground could I sue? Lets see, lost pay. This work place has not even interviewed my manager on duty that night or the co workers. This seems so one sided.

You're being disciplined for violating a rule. Of course it seems one sided to you, but the employer is under no obligation to keep in constant contact with you - or really, any contact at all until they make their decision.

They can fire you because the sky is blue today, too. Can't sue for that, either.

You have no basis for a lawsuit. Not to mention that your employment is "At Will". "At Will" means that they can hire or fire you "at will, with or without cause" at any time.

The only reasons you could sue for would be if your employment was terminated in violation of the Equal Opportunity Employment Act. The areas protected under that are: Disability, Race, Age, Sex, Nationality, Religion, and a few others. Your case does not qualify.

I've said it twice: Get working on that resume, start pounding the pavement.

I paid for the item. Not my fault this store has no water fountain. I had a head ache. Again, I did pay for the item. This is why America has aen economy problem- CEO's and such do not know how to runa business.
