    Default Store Policy

My question involves criminal law for the state of: New Jersey

I know someone who is involved with shoplifting. This person claims to have a general idea which stores practice the policy of calling the police on shoplifters. She claims it is why she hasn't been busted yet. Is she telling me the truth?

    Thumbs down Re: Stiore Policy

    What do you think?

If you really believe this friend....then you are an idiot.

Before you call people idiots...you should know that practiced shoplifters communicate with each other all the time. Information is shared about stores that have cameras, those who prosecute and those who have LP. This is very common. Maybe the OP's "friend" visits this site.

While I don't argue your point, if my reading of the subtext here is correct ("Will I be able to steal and get away with it if I follow my friend's advice") I tend to agree that believing the friend would be evidence of idiocy.

With respect, I read lentzr's prior posts. Seems like this person is either playing with us, or looking to get into petty theft.

    After visiting that site....wow.

I've worked a lot of retail. Biggest tip off for me as to who is L.P. is this: Michigan winter....it's frickin' cold out....a person wandering a store and not wearing a coat/not carrying a coat.....that just screams "L.P.".
