My question involves criminal law for the state of: new york

i live in brooklyn, ny.

i was sentenced to 5 years of felony probation after getting my 2nd dwi in 10 years. my dwi arrest was not connected to a crash and no-one was injured the first or the second time i got picked up for dui.

i've never been on probation before. i have no problems with the terms of my probation except for one: not drinking alcohol at all. does anyone know how strict they are with enforcing this in brooklyn? brooklyn's not a quiet place, so i imagine the probation office has got its hands too full with real criminals to waste taxpayer money sending someone to my house to see if i have a beer or two after getting off work. however like i said i have no experience with the probation system in brooklyn, so please chime in if you do.
