Default Ending Child Support After High School

    State of New Jersey:

My daughter is 18 years old and graduate from high school. No plans on attending a college next semister.

Court Order states to keep paying until notifiy to stop.

From my understanding, the next step is for my daughter to get a full-time job, before any chance of child support ending. (Correct me if I am wrong).

My question: How does the child support agency know when my daughter has a full-time job? If the answer is, when my daughter or mother notifies the agency that she has one. Then my question is: What can I do if she has one and doesn't get report until 6 month to a year later? Can I sue?

"Court Order states to keep paying until notifiy to stop." - in those exact words? I would lay odds it says more than that.

    The exact words:

"This order will remain in effect until and unless you are notified by the probation office of a discontinuance."

I wish it did have more detail....I hate this game of waiting and having no end in site...other than waiting for my daughter to reach the age of 26, which is the longest it can go in NJ. I just don't understand why after 18+ years of making monthly payments you have to make calls, remind people, leave a ton of messages, just to get a reason why it not stopped and no clear date of when and if it will before she reaches 26. It should just stop after h.s. grad and no college enrollment. My support is more than she will make full-time, so there no incentive for her to work. plus the mother buying a new expensive car, doesn't help either.
