There is no need to worry this is clearly a scam. Once you read the entire e-mail you can tell. The end of the e-mail is an entire warning about how they will prosacute because the website as been abused by "fakers" (they used the term fakers in a legal notice)
Also if if were a legitamite page they would not need to warn you, it's just scare tactics into getting you to pay.
I was worried at first but you just have to use some common sense
    Yeah, you are right.

How many one post users are going to talk about this site? Is someone trying to spam the board, or is this a real question?
I have not found many threads on the net talking about this site?
I got worried and had to check.. I never ever register myself on such sites, but I don't know why I did it this time, got curious or something..

I don't know how I entered the site, it was suddenly there, I had a bunch of open windows.. Saw the window and I'm really sure that the page was scrolled down a bit, because I am 100% sure that I had seen the login and password fields and the text that stated that it was a fee on 59 Euro.. I never saw that the first time and that is pretty weird in my opinion..
And also when register the register button only says "Click me", not "Register" or "Sign up" or something that should have been a better fit ..

like they posted earlier, they arent gonna come from germany to take your money. it would be a joke to the officials. dont sweat it guys. i also read the whole email about 10 times, and i found there was a few typos, and using the term 'Fakers' just reassured me that it was a scam.

I have tried to search on the phone numbers they have in their e-mails.. They don't exist what I can see.. I have searched in online german phone books..

I am sure that the login and password fields weren't there when I registered or the page was scrolled down at the beginning because they werent there when I saw the page the first time.

Did you, that also were traped see the login-fileds and passwordfields and the text that said 59 euro?
It's impossible that I missed that out..

When I by mistake registered on the site there was no information (loginpage and password) and text that said it cost money. I must have come from another page and when accessing the page the information was not there.. When accessing the page again with the real address, suddenly the cost-information appeared.

Somebody else that agree with me? Was the cost information there when you registered? I think they are trying to fool as many as possible by hide the information when coming from another page (or something like that) and when you register and confirm by e-mail suddenly the cost-information is there. If you access the page by it's real address the cost information is also there.

I did some further research... It's a scam that has been going on in Germany for over the last year or so. They are trying it out in the states cause they probably ran the scam dry in Germany.

There are many you tube videos about this, unfortunately they are all in german. Apparently it was on there news stations.

They have used the same scam with different sites. They are all linked the the company "United Payment Limited"

Hello and sorry for my english (im from Slovakia)....I got the same email and i worry about the problems i could possibly have (if there are some)...Personaly i think its a scam for these reasons:

    1. If i wanted (of course i didnt want to) to register there, they didnt send me login informations(password, login name etc.) they just want me to pay
    2. Everywhere they are just saying about prosecutors, courts, payment and such things. Serious company wouldnt do that(as far as I know)
    3. I found many forums about that theme and they say its a scam

so this is my opinion about that email.....Am I right? pls reply thank you very much

    Hello from Germany,

since I'm bombarded with mails from victims of this scam I would like to put some things straight.

First and most important: It is a scam, ignoring the invoice and the threats does no harm. Why? They only have your email adress and useless ip. No "state prosecutor" will get any personal data behind an ip adress or email adress.

As for any queries why so many people fall for this sort of scam. And how do they find these useless sites.
The owner of these sites places spam messages inside twitter and other communities. mainly communities aimed a kids ! The links to this sites do not show a price tag! And, on top of this, everyone can register any email adress he/she knows. The owner of the email adress will get the invitation. One click on the invitation link and you're hooked without seeing the price tag.

This sort of scam is quite common in germany. We always give the advice, just play dead and do not react.

Here is a video made by me concerning this matter: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=zkrW7H9mjsY

    Regards,
    Jens
