    Unhappy Court for Shoplifting

I shoplifted a handbag and 2 wallets worth of $400 in lord & taylor in New York. I am sixteen years old and this is my first time ever! I used a tool (nail clipper) to take off the sensor. The store told me that i will receive a bill within a week. I was arrested and handcuffed. I was honest the whole time and told them everything they asked. They asked my informations about school, age, home address, phone numbers, ID, and social security number. They also took pictures and finger prints of me. I also have a court in 2 weeks and i do not know whats going to happen in the court. I can't afford a lawyer and i do not exactly know what to say. I REALLY REGRET this and i truly learned my lesson. I swear to god that i'll never do it EVER again....

Do i have to pay another fine other than the store fine?
Do i have to get a lawyer? is it suggestable?
Is there any way to avoid getting it to my record? if yes then what should i say to the judge?
Also i'm not a US citizen...but i have a greencard...is there any chance that i will lose my greencard?
Does my parents have to be in the court?

please tell me what to do i am too nervous and scared.......and please tell me things i should say to the judge

Dont be too worry, you might have to pay court fee, and most likely since you are underage and it's your first time shop lifted you will most likely do volunteer work and some sort of probation! As for the lawyer part, when you get to court that day, people inside the court room will say something like "Does anyone need a public defender?!" and that is who you need which is a public defender that will see what your income and they will give you the lowest fee possible (free of charge) for the case. Dont worry too much!!! GOOD LUCK!!!
