    Default Property Taxes and Chapter 7

    Hi surrenderd home in cpt 7 and recieved a discharge april of 2009 i just recieved a letter from mortgage co asking if i paid the property taxes they want to know of coarse i did not pay i included home when i filed bk 7 in dec 2008 nor do we have the funds to pay we are still insolvent as of this date.
    What can happen any help would be appreciated?

    Your obligation to pay taxes is to the taxing authority, not the mortgage company. The mortgage company is probably trying to make sure that all encumbrances are clear in association with their sale of the property.
