My question involves criminal law for the state of: New York
I have a situation that I would like anyone to help me answer. I am a full time (2 job) single working mom who lives in a duplex upstate NY and have never been on welfare.
In the other half of the house is a woman who doesnt work. (got a job for two days and claimed injury on the job). She collects welfare, foodstamps, you name it in assistance. She was rented the other half of the house along with "3" children, at the time all under the age of 18. Since then, two have turned 18. In addition another son 21 has moved in. Also this woman has the older daughters adult boyfriend has moved in. In addition she also has had her own boyfriend move in. So all in all there is 5 adults. 3 of them I know are working. The daughters boyfriend is home all day with the mother, and the mothers boyfriend scraps metal (off the books) for money. And this woman is collecting all kinds of welfare benefits.
On top of this, I am a single mom, with no adult male prescence at the moment in my home. So, while I am at work, my side of the porch is destroyed, etc, they cuss up a storm all day on the mutual porch. garbage piles up on the porch, muskrats, skunks scurry across our feet when we leave the house early in the morning. The landlord is assisting somewhat, but need proof in order to initiate an eviction. Now we all know people who work the system KNOW how to get around all this.
I was wondeing if anyone could shed any light on what the rules and regulations are regarding all these people in her house, and If I should call welfare fraud on her. I have had just about enough of the abuse and the filth from these people. My side is nice, lawn etc flowers etc, and I have lived here 6 years no problems. till they moved in. The boyfriend verbally abuses me, knowing I have no Man in my house, and always does these things when no one is around.
Can anyone help me with any advise?
Thanks:![]()
