Default Dual Resident Married to Non Resident

Maybe I am a non resident citizen. I have been working overseas for 10 years. I get residence in the country where I am working. I visit the States every summer and my husband comes and visits me. What is the law? I know that he has to be in the US for more than 6 months in a year, but do I have to be in the States, too? Will the fact that I was a resident of another country effect his chances of completing the citizenship process?

    "Maybe I am a non resident citizen" - if you're a citizen, you're a citizen.

Thanks so much. That had been our understanding for the five years of our marriage. Then we had a shock when my husband went for an interview or there was some concern about the fact that I was a legal resident of another country.
