My question involves a speeding ticket from the State of: Washington
So I'm going to court to contest a speeding ticket in Clallam County WA.
I was doing 69 in a 55 or so the officer says. I have no way of proving I wasn't but I was always told to contest a ticket as there is always a chance to at least get it lowered.
The only facts I have are: I had just gotten on the freeway & the officer had to pass at least 2 cars to pull me over(single lane freeway at the time).
All the while the car in front of me was pulling away. I was supposidly tracked by radar. Not much to go on there so it's going to be a pretty thin defense. My sister was also with me at the time. Should I call her as a witness? I've read here that it's not a good idea to subpeona the officer.
I'm pretty sure I can't ask for a Deferral as I got one exactly 2 years ago also in WA, but in a different county.
Any idea if there is a traffic school option in this county?
Any tips for contesting this ticket in court?
Thanks in advance.
