My car was towed from a guest parking spot near my townhouse. There is a HOA that enforces the rules. They state that if a car does not move in a certain period of time that it is considered as "Storage" and they can tow the car away. No rule in the HOA documents other than the car must be driveable (no flats, not being worked on) and legal (registered & insured) The car is in working condition, legally registered and insured. I was simply away helping my elderly mother for about 10 weeks.
Can they legally tow for that? The cost is already near $300. They towed it just before midnight so they could charge an extra day of storage fees at this lot.
