    Default Public Intoxication

I was in West Lafayette Indiana and recieved a PI while coming home from the bars. In 2003 I recieved a minor consumption which was dismissed (not in the same county). My questions are...

Would this PI be my first offense because the M.C. was dismissed?

    Should I get a lawyer?

It would be a second offense, as I count. Might it be treated as a first offense? It's hard to know without knowing the basis of the original dismissal. A local criminal defense lawyer should be able to tell you; and it is time to start addressing your alcohol problem.

Agreed. What would be the lawyer/non lawyer differences in punishment? Also, how much would a lawyer cost in a situation like this?
