My question involves criminal law for the state of:
I recently went to court for a red light camera ticket, which they called a civil violation, there were no photos of the driver. I was not driving my car when the violation occurred and at the time I was with my mom helping her move. I brought my mom as a witness to tell my side of the story. The prosecutor basically made us look bad, questioning both of us under oath. He asked me who was driving my car at the time and I stated I did not recall. He then asked me who I usually loan my car to and I also stated I did not recall. He told me I couldn't even remember the people I loan my car to. I then gave me a couple names and addresses of who I loaned my car to. He questioned my mom, asking her how she remembered what she was doing during the time of the violation. Did she remember what happened a week ago , or a afew days ago. Basically how does she have such a great memory. His closing statements were basically that he believed we were lying and made up the story so I get out of paying the ticket. I heard a police officer in the back whispering that he hope charges were pressed for perjury. The judge sided with the prosecutor stating he made his point. My question is what are the chances of prejury charges be pressed?
