Default Ismaili Divorce in India - Thru Courts or Council

My question involves divorce in India of Shia Ismaili Khoja - Followers of Aga Khan.
My wife and I propose to Divorce thru Mutual consent. Under Circumstances, could we prepare a Talak nama as per Shariat law applicable in India and present the same to the Family courts for Confirmation OR do we per force have to apply to the Arbitration Council in India of our Community and they confirm the Divorce?
We would like to approach the courts instead of the council as we do not want this divorce to be made widely known in our community.
    Any Advice would be welcome.
    Uncle.
