My previous employer after terminating me for something I did not do and gave them proof that is was not my doing, sent a letter to the respiratory care board of my state in which I have my license through trying to get my license suspended due to these false claims. I received a letter from consumer affairs which runs our board with all the false statements from my previous employer. Thank god that they ignored it all and never followed through with anything that my previous employer was asking of them.
I was terminated because my daughters grandmother sent in her papers from her doctor to my previous employer. I wanted the records on file at work due to my daughters medical condition and in case I needed to take any time off through FMLA. My daughters insurance was through her father, so his mother told me she would get copies and send them to my work. That was done. My daughter needed to go in for surgery a couple months later so I put in for my FMLA leave and they gave me the paperwork to get filled out. I then gave them to her father since he was doing all of her pre-op appointments. He then returned them to me "signed from her doctor". I then turned them into my previous employer. Well come to find out he had forgotten to have the doctor fill them out and took it upon himself to sign them. My previous employer called the doctor for some reason and she stated that she had never signed anything, to make this long story short, I got the blame for the false signatures and terminated. My daughters father even went down to my work and told the truth that it was him.
Even after all of that, the previous employer sent the letter to the board saying that I had been the one that signed the doctors name. Do I have any chance of getting these people back for the embarrassment they have caused me, and for putting my job and my childrens security in jepordy?
Thank you in advance for any help.
