My question involves an auto loan or repossession in the State of: California
Just wondering how often debt collection agencies actually go so far as to get a judgement for garnishment of wages. I had a repo in 1993, I had no money to pay the creditors, it was put on my credit report as a repo. It fell off the report after 7 years and that was it. Fasst forward to now, my husband and I gave back a car and of course they want the balance from auction, we don't have the money, if we did, we would have never given the car back. So now it's pay the mortgage or pay for a car we DON'T have. Does every collection company go that far to collect for a car?
