    Default No Pet Policy

My question involves landlord-tenant law in the State of: Georgia

So I had a caged ferrite taking care of it for someone. They found out and are slapping me with replacing the whole carpet and padding. The ferrite only was out when it went with me to the park. There is no damage to the carpet of any sort. Now I know I violated the no pet policy, but in the contract doesn’t say anything about violation charges or anything along those lines. So I should I just pay for the whole carpet or should I tell them to show me the damages they are calming. I am still currently residing there and yes the ferrite is gone.

You would at most be liable for the depreciated value of the carpet and padding; but yes, it's reasonable to have them document the damage allegedly caused by the pet and why that damage necessitates replacement of the carpet and pad.

so on june 3 i had a nice long talk with the property manager demanding they show me the damages. then i stated so since i am haveing to pay for the carpet its mine and i can do what i want to it and she said yes. After a good 30 mins it keept going in circles and i just said forget i am going to jag. i get a phone call about 5 hours later with the manager on the phone she say okay this is what we are going to do all you have to do is pay for the cleaning of the carpit and if there are any stains when we pull it then you will have to pay for that so do you think they are going to still charge me for the carpet or does it sound like they have backed off the whole thing
