My question concerns grandparents rights in the state of: ARKANSAS. I seem to have a fairly unique situation and am having a hard time finding information that fits my particular position. My 5 year old stepson's father passed away last year and I am interested in adopting him. However, his paternal grandparents have recently filed for visitation rights. If those rights are awarded, how strongly will they be able to contest my adoption of my stepson, if at all? I can't seem to find any resources that address this type of case and am very worried that they will be able to prevent the adoption. Please help!
