    Default Receiving Stolen Property; Credit Card Fraud

    My question involves criminal law for the state of: Pennsylvania

    Hello. I was wondering if anyone knew how long you could be sentenced for for receiving stolen property and credit card fraud.

    My boyfriend/fiance and his friend have been causing a ruckuss and now both are sitting in the county jail. My boyfriend, has acquired 5 cars from a friend who told him no questions=you get the cars. The guy told them if he wanted them back however, they were to give them...

    Well.. my boyfriend had three of the cars, an 07 audi a4 quatro, either an 08 or an 09 Nissan Frontier, and an 04 VW passat {police can't find this car however so I do not believe they can convict him of receiving this car? I do not know. Does anyone?} He also has used the womans, with whom he had been living with, credit card to buy gas, 2 phone cards, and other tiny stuff so only a couple hundred there but nonetheless. He is 19, and has a juvie record but should have been wiped... if the court finds him guilty what could his sentencing be? If he pleaded insanity? {He does have mental issues, Compulsion, bipolar... fun fun}

    Now his Friend had been driving two of the cars as well... would he be convicted of receiving stolen property even though my boyfriend had given those two to him? But if he is charged with receiving, how long would his sentencing be with one car being an 01 nissan maxima and an 05 nissan maxima?

    Any help would be greatly appreciated. My nerves are just in a mess over all of this. Doesn't help I'm nearly 8 months pregnant with my boyfriends child either.

    Thank you

    Sentences depend upon many factors, not the least of which are the conviction charge(s) and the offender's prior record. Your boyfriend and his friend probably have lawyers (and from what you've said they need lawyers); they can discuss likely outcomes with their lawyers.
