Getting Married on a G4 Visa

Hi,

I know that it is possible to bring your dependents over when on a G4 visa but what if you get married to an illegal alien in the United States? Would that person be able to get a non-immigrant visa as well? Or would they have to leave the country and then re-inter? Would that person be subject to an interdiction to inter the territory after overstaying their tourist visa?

Best way to follow up is with a private message or, if the other person has permitted it, email. Posting to a thread after two years isn't likely to get you an answer, as the odds are the person hasn't looked at it since the time of the last post.
