My question involves expungements or pardons for the state of: Florida
My friend is a 26 year old male who made a terrible mistake at the age of 19, he was involved in a robbery of a convenience store with some friends but unfortunately he was the only one who was identified and adhering to the street code he did not "snitch" on his so called friends.
The charges were Aggravated Robber w/ a firearm and kidnapping/weapon. The record shows it was closed in 2003, the judge adjudicated withheld it and he was sentenced to 2 yrs, boot camp, and a year probation, all of which he completed sucessfully. He has not gotten in any other trouble since and had a stable work record up until this last year when it seemed his past has come back to haunt him. He now resides here in Columbus, OH and enrolled in school but he still is unable to obtain a decent paying job.
I am wondering if there is anything that can be done or how does one recover and regain their life after such a drastic mistake?![]()
