My question involves criminal law for the state of: Rhode Island

The shoplifting incident happened a good month ago and I haven't received any notice from the company. I was told that the amount was under 15$ and I just had to sign some papers and was told that I couldn't come into the store for a year. Nothing else was said on the matter, no police were called.

However, the issue is, I am moving soon, so I was wondering how that would work? When do they send the letter? (Will a letter even be sent?) And what happens if I don't receive it 'cause I moved?
Why don't you leave a forwarding address with the post office?

Just a friendly reminder: let the IRS know the change of residence and the local DMV....

In Az, I know all court docs are sent to according to what appears on a license.

Good question, I hope you'll let me know how it works out. Pretty curious myself.
