Default Car Buyer Not Making Payments, Disappeared

My question involves an auto loan or repossession in the State of: Arizona. Sold an auto to an individual, signed a contract that he got off the internet, he was making payments, now has disappeared. I still have the title, am listed as the lienholder, and last payment he made was 5/15/09. His cell phone is disconnected and he is no longer in town. The contract says 60 days until we can do something, but I am afraid the car may be destroyed by then. Is there anything legally that we can do????

If you signed the contract, they YOU have to abide by the terms as well.

Not sure what you meant by that 'off the internet' comment but if you still hold title, you can report the vehicle as stolen.

That advice is so dead wrong Mista, it is stupifying. She cannot report the car stolen. She says she is the lienholder not the registered owner. There is a huge difference betwen lienholder and registered owner..

By her own post, she states that the registered owner's contract has a 60-day waiting period before she can do anything.

OP. Mista must be very confused and probably misread your post.
