Default Failure to Obey Direction of Police Officer

My question involves a traffic ticket from the state of: washington

I got a ticket: Fail to obey direction of police officer. violation code(RCW 46.61.015)

An accident happened in the intersection. A police officer was controlling the traffic. I stopped on the left turn only lane, and put my left turn light on. This officer showed me a gesture let me go. As soon as I turned left. he stopped me, and gave me this ticket. He said, he wants me to go straight, I disobey his instruction.

There are 2 people in my car, we all see his gesture(direction) means "go ahead to turn left". we were on left turn only lane, and there is no any other sign or light.

This happen is all because the police officer's unclear instruction.

I wanna fight this $124 ticket. (the court is only 2 mile from my home, I have a lot of time)

My question is, do I need to pay the court fee, or interpreter fee?

If I lose, if the penalty will go up?

How to fight in the court I can have more chance to win?

If by "interpreter fee" you mean that you don't speak sufficient English and are going to ask the court to provide you with an interpreter, assuming you actually need an interpreter, the court should pay that fee. If you mean you want to bring in witnesses who don't speak English, and wish to have an interpreter present to translate their testimony, you may have to provide your own court-certified interpreter. Check with the court.

You must arrange for interpreters well in advance of your court date. You can't simply show up in court, or call the night before, and expect an interpreter to be available.

If you lose, you should expect that you will have to pay court costs on top of your fine.

You can go to court and tell the judge you didn't understand his hand gestures and then ask the officer to demonstrate the gestures. This might get you off but if not, you can always use a gesture of your own, (Outside the courtroom of course).
