I was convicted of two felonies (burglary of a habitation, burglary of a building) in 1986 at 18 years old. Both were committed at the same time and were run concurrent. I received a ten year probated sentence five hundred community services hours and a fine for $2400. I paid the fine did my community services hours and was released from probation in 1996. I have not been charged or convicted with any crimes before or since this incident. There are jobs that I have not applied for because of my background. Also a lot of the jobs that I could apply for in 1996 that at that time didn’t do back ground checks now do. I have never been to jail in my life and even then I was released on my own and told to report to court the falling week. I am going to college now and am worried that when I get out, I won’t be able to find a good job because of my record. What would be the chances of me getting it expunged in Texas?
