My question involves a speeding ticket from the State of: Washington
I received a ticket for doing 18 MPH over the limit traveling on I-5. The ticket has a $175.00 fine. I want to go through the discovery process to see if there's any technicalities that I can use in my favor.
After reading the forum, I want to make sure I have the process right.
1) Check the "contest hearing" box and send it to the court
2) Fill out a request for discovery, per this threadhttp://www.expertlaw.com/forums/showthread.php?t=46438
3) Show up in court
My question is, if it turns out I have nothing to contest can I still ask to defer the ticket even if I'm contesting the hearing?
