Question I'm 16 and Am Thinking of Divorcing My Parents

I am a 16 year old male living with my mother and father in the state of Colorado. My family is thinking of moving to Canada, but I don't want to go with them. I've been thinking about divorcing them so I can stay here in the U.S. but they to not agree with me. Is there any way I can divorce my parents and move in with a friend/family member? How long would this proses take, and will I need a job?

Firstly, you can't divorce your parents. Divorce is the legal procedure by which a marriage is dissolved.

Idiot media aside, there is no such thing as divorcing your parents.

The word you're looking for is emancipation. And in the state of Colorado, there is no statutory provision for the emancipation of a minor. That means there is no procedure by which you may petition the court for the rights of adulthood.

And even if there were such a thing in your state, "I don't wanna move" is not considered grounds for emancipation.
