    Default Update on Case

The Bio dad showed up for the hearing and took DNA test. Results soon. I haven't spoken to him since 2007. He wants to terminate his parental rights. Says he's broke, well you know the story. If he wanted to give up his rights, then why did he bother to show up? Folks, I am not asking for a million dollars, just food and diapers. A relationship with his only child would be great, but I'm afraid that won't happen.

Him wanting to terminate his parental rights because he's broke is NOT an option. There is no statuatory law on the books that will allow him to do this and there isn't a court in this land that will honor his wishes based on just that.

Oh, he may be able to give up his rights, but he won't be able to give up his obligations!

    Good luck!!
