Got Caught Shoplifting

My question involves criminal law for the state of: Arizona
Hello I am currently in bad shape and would appreciate any and all help. I was just arrested and cited for shoplifting an Item totaling $82. I am 23 and currently very shaken up about my impending court date next friday.
I have had no priors since i have turned 18 but about 2 years ago I was involved with retail fraud at a best buy. In which I was questioned by a police officer, i acquired a lawyer and gave a statement and returned the merchandise to the officer and no charges were ever brought against me.
What i am currently being charged with is a class 1 misdemeanor. I am very curious as to what is possibly going to happen and if i should get a lawyer again or not. Should i show up with out a lawyer and ask the judge for leniency. I hope that i am eligible for an adult diversion program.
I am so mad at myself for doing this as i am graduating college in a few days. This is a horrible way to begin my adult life. please help any and all help is appreciated.
