My question involves a speeding ticket from the State of: New York
Wondering if anybody can help? I have already left this too long as I'm in court on Thursday.....
I live in Ontario and I got a speeding ticket in Chautauqua County back in March. At the time the ticket was issued I was also given a supporting deposition that was attached. When I mailed in the ticket with a not guilty plea I also checked off that I would like them to send a supporting deposition, what the hell! Anyhow, when I got my notice of trial they did send me a deposition, problem was it wasn't mine! What they sent me was a supporting Deposition for some guy named Maikel Nunez from a different officer also.
Is this a defense?
Should I be going in to haggle with the prosecutor or let it go and provide my story to the judge as my defense?
Quick!!! Can anybody offer an informed opinion?
Thanks
Tim
