My question involves a consumer law issue in the State of: Maryland
About a month ago I was caught shoplifting at Macys.
I'm 18 years of age, so I was charged as an adult.
They made me pay a civil demand of a little over 100 dollars which I did on the spot.
They said I would also have to appear in court, and would receive a letter about it in the mail.
I however have not received anything in the mail so far.
I'm attending a University out of state next fall, and wish to have this put behind me as soon as possible.
When should I expect to hear from them?
What are my consequences?
Am I allowed to leave out of state for college?
What should I do?
Please help!
