Default Paying Union Dues, Not Receiving Any Benefits

    Wisconsin

As the title states, I am currently paying union dues and receiving no benefits. I work for the local government. Everyone I talk to and say this too tells me I should go talk to Human Resources about it. I did and they said because I am classified as a temporary employee (even though I work full-time and, in essence, am NOT a temporary employee), they make me pay dues to receive no benefits. I get absolutely nothing, I received a pension for about 6 months after I was hired, but that came straight out of my own paycheck unmatched by the employer.

    Is this legal?

    Wait a minute. Back up.

What makes you think that working full-time hours means you're not a temporary employee? What does your contract say about your status?

You read it wrong. I am a TEMPORARY employee so that they do not have to give me any benefits, the position is always a "full-time" position meaning that this is not technically a TEMPORARY position. It will never be relieved is what I am saying.
