    Default Getting a Work Permit

I am a US citizen, I recently got married and filed for my husband, USCIS rec'd paper to adjust status and for a work permit on Oct 19-2005. They said it should take between 30 to 90 days to process this kind of case. 90 days went by and he still never received a work permit. I called USCIS and they told me they had requested more evidence pertaining to my W2 Tax forms. I sent this information and they recd on Feb 2 2006. this is the statement I got from them:

On February 2, 2006, we received your response to our request for evidence or information. It is taking between 120 and 180 days for us to process this kind of case. However because preliminary processing was complete, the remaining processing time will be less than the maximum stated in this message. You will receive a written decision on this case.

Does anyone know how long it will take now before he receives his work permit?

They gave you an estimate that it would likely be at least 120 days, but probably won't drag out to the 180 day mark.
