Default Business Visa After Rejection of Tourist Visa

    hi,

i work with a reputed global firm. a month back i applied for a tourist visa to the USA but my application was rejected on the basis of section214 (b). i am only 6 month old in this company, have no family (no wife no parents) , am 30 so a potential immigrant!!

it so happens that my company is sending me to the Usa this august. so i will have to apply for a business visa (my firm is a global mnc, no one has been denied a buisness visa before, ppl regularly travel abroad). my worry is whether i can be denied a business visa because my tourist visa got rejected in april.

this is a genuine business visit where i'll be working for a client based in the US, my company will bear the expenses and i'll return to india after a couple of weeks.

any views on the above would be welcome!!

It's safe to say that there are concerns that you'll try to immigrate, and that you have few ties to your nation of origin. A job is a tie; but I can't promise that it will be deemed a sufficient tie to get you the visa.

Wonder the fact that my firm (of intl repute) is sending me for a meeting with an understanding that i'll be back in a couple of week,s my counterpart in the US will also give an invite letter to that extent should be of some import.

further, i do own a house here in india, which i have inherited from my parents, but this anyways was told even last time. but that didn't help.

unfortunate cos my parents expired in an accident jus last year, so wonder how i cud tackle the problem of demonstrating ties to the home country!!
