Default Hated by the Girlfriend's Mother

My question involves criminal law for the state of: Alabama

So my girlfriend and I have been together for a month now, and her mother hates me. She has told her son to tell me to back off of her daughter multiple times, but he hasn't done so, because he doesn't see anything wrong with us being together. So the whole we've been together, her mom keeps telling us we need to break up, and we haven't done so. Last night her mom called me and told me to stay away from her daughter. My girlfriend tells me that she loves me, and that she wants to be with me. We haven't had sex, but I am 17and she is 15. I need to know if there is anything at all that her mother could press charges over. I really don't want to have to break up with her because of her mother. Much thanks to anyone who helps..

The mother told you to stay away and leave her daughter alone. Nothing else needs to be said. Her daughter is a minor under her care. There for be respectful to the mother and do as she has requested.

If you keep persuing after her daughter no matter what her daughter wishes are. You could face criminal charges if the mother persues them.

First off, LOVE coming out of a 15 year olds mouth is just plain dumb. She doesnt even know the true meaning of it, especially only being with you a month. She is a minor and I would watch out. Her mom could ruin your life. It is not worth it. There are millions of single girls

The age of consent in Alabama is 16. Getting anywhere near her could land you facing second degree rape charges - and you could be tried as an adult since you are 17 (meaning if convicted, you'll end up as the young meat on the block in jail or prison). That's in addition to other nasty long term problems like never getting college financial aid, having to register as a sex offender, not being able to be live in certain places or get certain jobs, etc. etc.

And, none of that would be any different even if mom LIKED you.

Mom will have the law on her side all the way on this one (including the possibility of OTHER things like restraining orders and criminal charges for contributing to the delinquency of a minor).
