My question involves criminal law for the state of: new york


I got caught stealing at sephora. thEy told me i had to pay 99 dollars from the store and it would come in the mail within a month. But it has been over a month and it has not come. Should i call the store to find out what happen?? Cause they said if i dont pay i will get arrested or go to court

I'm torn on this one:

- Knowing that if you don't pay the Civil Demand, you can be sued for it, and legal fees would be added.

- I'd go on the "better safe than sorry" side myself....call, ask for the L.P. department....inquire.
