Background checks and mortgages

I am hoping with all my heart that I will get diversion but we will be applying for a mortgage this year.

I am afraid of my husband finding out.

I am afraid of not getting the mortgage.

Do they do this kind of check when applying for mortgages?

All the more reason to have a heart to heart with your hubby. When we applied for a loan I had an old dental bill show up, it made me look like a real dead beat. It was a simple error that was corrected but I felt pretty dumb when the banks loan officer was smirking at me in front of my wife. This is a little more critical, it reflects on trust of each other, he loves you so trust him to be understanding.... OK?
