My question involves landlord-tenant law in the State of:New Jersey

I found a sublease online in a 3 bedroom 1 bath apt. The woman was renting 2 of 3 of the bedrooms and her roommate rented 1 bedroom. The woman got verbal permission from the landlord that she could sublease her rooms and she created a agreement for me to sign between her and I, I previously came to view the room and met the roommate. I provided my deposit and my move in date was the following week.
All of a sudden the roommate has major concerns with me moving in. No one has a clue. She goes behind her roommates back and tells the landlord that Im a complete stranger she moving in. Keep in mind that this same roommate also had a complete stranger staying in the apt for 4 months and no one had a problem. The roommate threatens to keep the subleasee woman's deposit etc, all types of foolishness. The landlord doesn't want to be involved since the roommate threaten to harass him everyday for allowing her to sublease her two rooms to me. The landlord simply says no sublease, after the subleasing roommate already signed an agreement and I'm supposed to move in. No one knows the roommates issue but she did very shady things in handling the situation. She told the landlord that she will take over the whole rent of the apartment, knowing clearly that she cant afford to. I can only assume she is making a big scene because she wants to move who she wants in to cut the rental cost when the subleasing roommate moves out and I dont think this is fair to me.
