    Default Cancer and License

My question involves a driver's license issued by the State of: Nevada

Can the DMV take your drivers license if you are diagnosed with cancer?
I already know I am not safe to drive until the treatments are over, and I don't plan to. They have already restricted me to only driving automatics, which is ok, but I had surgery this past week, the doctor is very optimistic that all is ok now, but I still have to take chemo.
Today, I get a letter from the DMV stating that they were informed of my health and that I must surrender my license.

What can I do and how do I fight this?

I know when to drive and when not to drive.

    Thank you.

    Default Re: Cancer and License

Have you contacted the DMV and asked them about the appeals process?

Chances are if your condition - or the medications you take - renders you incapable of operating a vehicle or can do so at unpredictable times, they have an obligation to revoke or restrict your license.

Check their web site out and start calling around on Monday:
