My question involves divorce in the State of: Pennsylvania
For almost two years there have been problems getting my ex to work to the point of settlement which involves the sale of our house which he neglected the 4 years we lived in it and the almost two years it has been empty.
Now the lawyers have met and an agreement was developed. My lawyer told me it was a “good deal” but my ex was told to bring his W-2 to court. He didn’t. I’m sure he has money stashed in many places that he is not divulging.
As soon as I sign, I will be bound to pay for a percentage of the mortgage and expenses for the house until it sells. Have had one realtor tell me the house is in such bad shape it might not bring what is owed on it.
My lawyer is pressuring me to sign the agreement. I feel let down because he hasn’t even supplied an accounting of his assets
Also how can I sign an agreement when I don’t know what it will involve financially in the future.
My lawyer is well aware that I was emotional and financially abused by my ex. Here I feel it is happening again but this time by someone I am paying on to help me.
Thanks
