My question involves a speeding ticket from the State of: CA

I didn't actually receive a speeding ticket. The officer pulled me over for speeding, but didn't say anything like a "warning", didn't hand me any papers, didn't tell me I was receiving a citation. Does this incident show up on my license? If I get pulled over in the future, will the officer find out about this? Was this considered a warning?

Detailed explanation:

Last night I was driving home from a friend's house, and was extremely tired from a long day of studying/working/etc. I coasted down a hill and didn't look at the speedometer, and apparently hit 60 mph on a 50 mph road. A police officer pulled me over, asked me if I'd been drinking/on my cell phone, if I knew why he pulled me over, etc. I explained that I was really tired/sleepy and on my way home. He told me that I'd been speeding, then went back to his car with my license/registration/proof of insurance. I heard him use the radio. Then, he comes back, asks me how long I've had my license (it's been about a year) then hands back my papers and asks me if I still lived at my current address. After I said yes, he says that he's going to follow me home to make sure I don't crash. I thanked him then drove home. He never gave me any paper, never told me "not to do it again" or that he was "letting me go this time." Nothing. If I get pulled over for speeding again, will this incident show up?
