I work in Ohio. I was laid off after working for the company for 12 years. I am 59 1/2 years old, and the company kept two younger employees and laid me off with a 8 week severance package. Should I be seeking legal help?

The fact that younger employees were kept does not automatically equal age discrimination. There is no law that says employees have to be laid off in reverse order of age; that no employee can be laid off until everyone younger has already been laid off.
It is only discrimination if you were selected for layoff BECAUSE of your age.
Do you have any evidence that this is the case?
