    Default Tape Recording

We think we'll have difficulty with getting our security deposit back from our landlord, so we want to tape record our final walk thru with our landlord. (without him knowing) Is it legal in the state of Virginia to do this?
    Thanks

Virginia appears to be a one party consent case, meaning you can record a conversation as long as you're a party to the conversation.
