    Default PTI Termination

My question involves criminal law for the state of: New Jersey

I am currently enrolled in the pre-trial intervention program in NJ. While in the program I was arrested for a new charge: attempting to obtain CDS by fraud ( a 3rd degree felony). If I plead guilty or am convicted I would be terminated from the PTI program and have to face trial on the original charge. However, the new charge was reduced to a disorderly persons violation (a misdemeanor). If I plead guilty to the disorderly persons violation, is that still grounds to terminate me from the PTI program? Is it automatic or is it up to the judge? I have searched several sites and have been unsuccessful in getting an answer to this question.

That's because we can't predict the future. We can only tell you the odds.

The odds, by the way, aren't in your favor. You should be working with a criminal defense lawyer.
