Default Charged with battery in Florida

hi, i was recently charged with battery...here's the story: my girlfriend is emotionally unstable and out of her mind...everytime we get into a fight she crosses the line. she has a history of hitting me and the other day we went through a break-up because of it. she bagan yelling, screaming, and throwing her hands around...i grabbed her restraining her until she told me that she wouldn't hit me. i released her and the fight ended with her telling her mother and her mother calling the cops on me. two days later she calls back telling me that she loves me and wants to drop the charges. i was told that the charges cannot be dropped because the state picks them up even if she wants to drop them...i need to know if there is a way out of this.....plz help...............2500 bond set back to 1000 because she wants me back and no contact changed to no violent contact...help meeeeee

If she tells the truth in court, you probably won't be convicted. You may wish to consider leaving this relationship once the charges are resolved, if you have not done so already.
