My question involves criminal law for the state of: Maryland
I received a citation last night (a fri. night) for public urination.
I left the bar intoxicated (not trashed) and stepped about 25 feet into one of those 4 foot wide alleys on Main Street of Annapolis Maryland. I peed against the wall and a cop came into the ally on foot and busted me. I was cuffed, stuck in a car and taken to the station to the processing room. They took my picture and filled out my info into their computer. They then un-cuffed me and had me sign the citation and gave me a criminal citation for public urination. The charge is up to 90 days in jail/ $1000. I was very polite with all the officers and things went smooth. I am getting my masters in computer science currently and plan on working with some top clearance places over my life time... is there any way to get this removed from my record completely? Do I have to get a lawyer for this? Does anyone know what I should do? This is my first offence (other than speeding/other minor traffic things). Any advice would be great.
Does anyone know if this charge effects getting a clearance?
Thanks!
