Default Transported to Court on a Writ

Im still REALLY confused about this WRIT ordeal. Ok they took him to prison on Jan 30th. They did all his testing and evaluations and said his points were low enoughf to go to a prison camp, but then they said he would have to wait 6mths because he violated his state parole, which isn't true cause i've taken him to every appt on the day he was supp. to be there. Then they tell him he is being transported back to Martinsburg WV for court on a WRIT! My question is could it be because they are saying he violated his parole??? And if he is already sentenced could he get more time for that? He is at a Federal Prison, and shouldn't they have told him what the writ is for at they time they took him? And the attorney that handled his case is no longer in practice. This has been a up and down kinda case. He didn't have a good attorney (public deffender) and he tried nothing to help him out in any way. If parole was violated shouldn't that have been brought up Before his sentencing? Everything just seems kind of strange to me. I appreciate ANY help you can give me. THANK YOU

The writ is an order that he be taken to a court hearing before a particular judge, at a particular date and time. I don't know the policies of his prison, or why they wouldn't tell him where they are taking him.
