Default Want to Try to Obtain a Tpo Against Someone, but Cannot Find Out Her Info

My question involves restraining orders in the State of: Nevada

A particular woman has been harassing myself, my toddler and my close friends in regards to my toddler for the last 8.5 months. She has verbally threatened to "do something bad to her if her Mommy doesn't bring her here tomorrow" to my best friend when she encountered her when my daughter and I were elsewhere on multiple occasions over the past 8 months.

We live across the street from the City Library and spent much time there in the recent past. When we came to the library, this woman would rise from the benches outside and immediately begin following us. The first few times this occurred, I'd turn around and ask her if I could help her with anything. She would ask many questions about my daughter, which I refused to answer.

Then, I would take my daughter as the library opened or closed for the day to avoid her, but she would come up to us while we were in the library and we'd go home immediately. I asked her several times to please leave us alone as we were not interested in communicating or being near her in any way, which she ignored.

I let the library staff know that this woman was harassing us, and made me feel extremely uncomfortable, not to mention her threats (which started after I told her to leave us alone) and they stated that the woman was a little kooky, but meant no harm and did nothing. I did not file a TPO or a report with the PD because I did not know the woman's name and still do not.

I stopped taking my daughter to the library out of fear a little over eight months ago and began going alone when the need arose.

There was an incident this evening where this woman came to our home and brandished a knife while standing in front of our living room window. When I yelled for my husband, he came in and when I explained what happened, he called the PD.

An officer came to take a report, but stated that the best course of action is to talk to the library again and see if they can/will release any information to the PD about this woman (since they know who she is) so I can file a TPO against her.

I don't know where/how to proceed in this matter. Since I don't know who she actually is (other than an excellent description) I feel like we're back to square one and if she has a mind, she could come back and do worse, or continue sending threatening notes and threatening my daughter's life via my friends and acquaintances.

    Any ideas?

My husband and I are extremely unnerved and don't know what to do.

    Thanks

Well the best thing to do is when the lady is bothering you call the police right then. The longer you wait the more times your going to keep getting nothing acomplished. If she comes to your house, causes a problem, bothers you in the library then call the police immediatly.
