Default No Trespass Order to Avoid Payment for Services

My question involves criminal law for the state of: MN

I recently did some remodeling at a warehouse with multiple lesses and the tenant i did the work for has been behind in his payments and still owes me money. when i went to pick up a check he had posted no trespass orders against me to avoid payment. he is not the property owner and i have made no threats against him or the property. is this legal ?

He can certainly prevent you from coming on his property, but that in and of itself won't relieve him of any duty to pay you. Mail him a bill for services via certified mail and if he doesn't pay take him to court for the amount plus court costs.
